Tony Robbins: A Successful Career

Picture
Who is Tony Robbins? Like that question even needs to be asked! Almost everyone has heard of him and his very wonderful, well known career. For years, Tony Robbins has been the leader in the field of motivational seminars and speeches. He started off with nothing in his life, and he actually grew up taking care of his siblings. However, after his mom chased him out of their house with a knife he had other things to do with his life. For a bit of time, things were rocky for him and he had limited money in his pocket (basically just enough to feed himself). However, one day he had the realization that he wasn’t really living his life and things needed to change. He started to have more confidence and trust in himself, and that is when things started to change for him. Tony Robbin’s career is a long one, and it isn’t done yet. The foundation of his great career was his own personal development plan that included the fact that he was not going to stand in one place anymore. He was going to take his life to greater levels and he did just that and more.

Where did Tony Robbins’ career begin?

Everyone knows that you can’t just go from having no money to being the most well-known motivational speaker on the planet. So where did Tony Robbins’ career begin? Well, he actually stared off by promoting Jim Rohn’s seminars. Jim Rohn taught Robbins a lot about life and from that inspiration Robbins became a life coach.  He started learning Ericksonian Hypnosis, and he even learned how to firewalk, which is the practice of walking over something hot (like hot coals). From the firewalking, he branched out into having his own seminars.

What happened after Tony Robbins began having seminars?

After Tony Robbins put his personal development plan into action and started having seminars, he started to become known as a self-help expert. He started selling books that included his programs and he was even on infomercials too. During 1987, he released his first book called Unlimited Power. This book really had it all and then in 1991 he released another book called Awaken the Giant Within. Tony Robbins had his own technique (Neuro-Associative Conditioning), and he taught people that through his books. In 1994 and 1995 he released two more books called Giant Steps and Notes From a Friend. These books brought about his fame and then things spiraled upwards from there.

What did Tony Robbins do after he published his books?

Tony Robbins did become famous from his books which were all part of his personal development plan. However, he took that fame to a whole new level by starting his Leadership Academy Seminar in 1997. Finally in 2007, due to his well-regarded motivational knowledge and expertise, he was the featured speaker at the annual Technology, Entertainment and Design conference, and he spoke there again in 2012. He now speaks at many of his own seminars and speaks at other highly-known events as well.

Not only is Tony Robbins a very well-known motivational speaker, but he has even acted too. He has acted in The Singularity is Near: A True Story About the Future (2010), Shallow Hal, Men in Black, Reality Bites and some other TV shows as well. Finally in 2010, Tony Robbins had his own television show called Breakthrough with Tony Robbins on the NBC channel where he tried to help those who were on the show overcome their own issues.  However due to low viewership, the show was cancelled. Later on, the show was reopened by the OWN Network channel.

As you can see Tony Robbins worked his way to the top. He started from a childhood that was very rough and he didn’t jump from nothing to everything in 3 seconds. He changed the way he worked on his personal development plan. He started off by promoting another motivational expert and then learned more about the field before diving in all on his own. His progress, his commitment, his dedication and his motivation helped him to get where he is at today. He deserves to be the leading expert in his field, and that is where he stands. His personal development plan didn’t let him down in the least bit.
