You are only as great as who you believe you are. You have a right to be yourself no matter what others think of you. There are so many people who live their life in constant fear of what others think of them. I know that I did this for so many years and this caused me to never really know the true me. A few months ago, I contemplated who I wanted to be and who I was at that time. I wasn’t happy with myself at all and I had only been living my life based on what others wanted from me. I was very disappointed in myself and this led me into some depression. After seeing a counselor I was able to find some peace knowing that I had a right to be myself, whoever that may be. I knew I had changes to make and I could do that with some direction and some confidence (which I lacked as well, by the way). I had to start somewhere and if you have been too worried about what others think of you then you will need to start somewhere as well. I have found many things to work for me and hopefully sharing them will help you and others too.

What are some of the ways that you can stop worrying about what others think of you?

Think more of yourself than what others think of you. If you have been living your life based on what others want you to do and not living your life for yourself then you haven’t been able to find the real you. You have been viewing yourself as the person who others think you are. This is not a healthy way to live and you deserve to be happier than that. You deserve to be the person who you really want to be, your unique self and these tips can really help you out.

What are your goals in life? Many people who have lived so long in other people’s shadows or according to other people’s wishes have usually not done well meeting any real goals in their life. If they have met goals, those goals were likely ones that others have wanted them to meet. I have done this in my life which basically just caused a lot of built up resentment inside of me. Now, I have been able to set real goals in my life (goals that I want to have, not what others expect). I want to spread the word about my book that I have written. I want to write more about the topics that I am passionate about and other goals too. What are your goals in life?

What are hobbies that you enjoy? When you are trying to stop thinking so much about what others think of you and more about who you really are, you will need to figure out what your hobbies are. I had been so busy concentrating on activities that others wanted me to do such as going to bonfires that I didn’t really know what hobbies I enjoyed. I have figured out that I enjoy going for walks, playing card games, going shopping, creating art, writing song lyrics and some other things too. Finding my hobbies and implementing them in my life has helped me to realize that I can enjoy life and I can have fun in my own way. What hobbies do you enjoy? If you are not sure, try some things out.

Don’t be afraid to be who you are. Now, that you know how to figure out more about who you really are including your goals in life, your hobbies and more you should congratulate yourself. You can care more about who you want to be, not who others think you are. You shouldn’t be afraid to be yourself any longer. Remember, you can’t expect people to love who you are and be okay with you being yourself if you don’t show your true colors. You can be you, the true you, the real you and you can be happy with that too.

Be yourself and stop worrying so much about what others think of you. You have a lot of potential in your life and to really live you must be your true self. Don’t worry so much about what others think of you and go for it, be the person who you really want to be.
