Hi Folks,

This is article is focused upon a review of the "IBVA Neurofeedback Brain Machine" for Mac - Independent (We have no financial stake in this system).  This Washington, DC neurofeedback system is, first and foremost, a beautiful world-class personal neurofeedback training system at a reasonable price.

Positives
The first time that we encountered this Washington, DC neurofeedback system was through a simple Google Search for Mac compatible neurofeedback systems, which are fairly challenging to locate.  Most neurofeedback systems operate on a Windows machine, so discovering that the IBVA Neurofeedback Brain Machine was compatible with a Mac was a delightful discovery.  The system provides a robust Graphical User Interface, which is unmatched by any other personal Washington, DC neurofeedback system that we have tested.  The system was originally designed on a 2-Channel hardware set, and the company promoted their product as effective for multimedia neurofeedback (MIDI Controlled audio feedback) as well as offering standard threshold configuration for when objectives are met.  The Graphics are stunning, and the MIDI features are robust.  Moreover, they briefly partnered with Vilistus to offer a full 8-Channels of Neurofeedback, all for under $3,000.

Challenges
The IBVA neurofeedback system was first tested with a Vilistus EEG interface, which was originally designed by Stephen Clark.  The Vilistus EEG unit is excellent, but as of 2017 it may no longer be compatible with IBVA's neurofeedback system.  This is a challenge, because the IBVA software was about $400 when we first made the purchase, and there was no download of the file made available for backup.  A simple $400 CD, and if you break it, that's it.  The money back guarantee is very time limited, and returns were only accepted within 7-days.

This is a great piece of Washington, DC neurofeedback software for the price, but the neurofeedback system would be vastly enhanced through offering greater levels of long-term technical support, downloadable neurofeedback software backups for destroyed or damaged discs, and more responsive IT support.

Otherwise, this is a great neurofeedback system with which to test and experiment.
