Have you been noticing that you are a bit distracted these days? Have you been wondering why you can’t seem to stay focused on just one simple thing? Well, good news for you is that these two things are common among many people. For the last five years (that was until about three months ago) I was so distracted. I couldn’t seem to get my mind to focus on anything. I would start doing something and then get distracted with something else. I would be in the middle of a conversation with someone and then start talking about a topic that was completely unrelated to the original subject. My mind was a complete mess. About three months ago I was able to finally put a plan into place to improve my mental clarity. Now I am able to actually get things done and stay focused in the process of completing something as well. I am much happier now than I was when my mind seemed to be so chaotic. If you want this happiness as well or if you at least want to be able to think straight then there are some tips to improve your mental clarity that might be beneficial for you.

What are some tips to help improve mental clarity?

Your mind can be clear enough to focus on just one thing. With all of the hustle and bustle of daily living many people find that their minds get full of many different things. However, the problem is that this chaos in the mind grows to cause many different issues in one’s life: relationship troubles, higher stress levels and much more. I have used some simple tips to improve my mental clarity and they have been working for me. Hopefully they can work for you as well.

Get a journal and write in it every day. This journal will be where your mind can flow freely. If you have something on your mind and you can’t let it go write it down until your mind feels free again. If you have something that you need to do but you are in the middle of something else jot it down really quick. This can give you a sense of relief knowing that you aren’t going to forget about it before you get done with the project you are currently working on. Writing things down will help you over time to have a more calm and relaxed mind. When your mind finally gets calmer you will have an easier time staying on topic during conversations as well.

Meditation really can help. Many people do not really know the benefits of meditation or they are just afraid to try. You see you don’t have to do anything too fancy to meditate. You can use various different meditation apps that are extremely simple. If you still aren’t fully comfortable meditating try to find a quiet and/or beautiful place where you can just go and sit alone. Oftentimes this will be enough to help you clear your mind so that you can improve your mental clarity.

Watch your mind to see where it is going. After you have been able to implement the first two tips into your life then you will be much more in control of your mind. From this point forward you will be able to watch and listen to your thoughts to see what is actually going on. You will be able to notice more when your mind is starting to wander and you can be in control of those thoughts. At this point, if you notice that your mind is starting to wander catch the thought and do something with it. Remind yourself that thought is not important right that moment. If it is important write it down. If the thoughts are negative or self-destructive box them up in your head and pretend that you are burning them up in a chimney and the smoke goes out of your head.

Improving your mental clarity can help you in so many ways. Do you want to have a clear mind again? Do you want to be able to focus better? If so follow the tips mentioned above to do just that.
