In a perfect world nobody experiences stress, but in the real world, lives are filled with worry and anxiousness. You worry about your family, your job, and surviving instead of thriving. You're anxious and overwhelmed and don't know how to cope or what to do. Let me tell you what you have to do in order to survive stress and thrive in peace, you have to sideline stress. There are six simple keys to sidelining the stress in your life that will help you thrive without worry and anxiousness.

Simplify

Life is never simple, but you can simplify your life and sideline your stress by uncomplicating and organizing.
  • Uncomplicating: Your life does not have to be complicated unless you want it to be. The less complicated you make your life, the less stressed you are. Start by tackling the simple things. If you start small, stress does not have a chance to grow into something bigger.
  • Organizing: Being unorganized can wreck havoc on your life. When your life is askew, your stress level is off the grid. Start with a simple plan to remove any clutter that surrounds your life. If you organize the clutter in your life, stress does not have a place to hide.
Team-up

You cannot always do things by yourself, but you can team-up and sideline your stress by letting go and releasing.

  • Letting Go: Trying to do everything by yourself leads to high stress levels and eventually health problems. To minimize your stress, you have to learn to let go and let others help. Asking for help isn't easy, but if you let others help, stress does not attach itself to your life.
  • Releasing: Stress can control your life. It consumes and destroys your world. By releasing control of your life to others, you are releasing the things that make you stressed. When you release the stressors in your life, stress cannot take over or destroy your life.
Redirect

Moving your life in a different direction can seem impossible, but you can redirect what makes you stressed and sideline your stress by turning around and pushing away.

  • Turning Around: Turning your life around to the point where there was no stress isn't going to happen. However, you can turn around the things that make you stressed. When you turn around stress by removing the things that cause you turmoil, stress cannot harbor in your life.
  • Pushing Away: Life is push and pull. When you are stressed it seems you are pulled in a thousand different directions. If push away the stressors instead of letting them pull, you are pushing away the worry. When you push away worry, stress cannot pull you in different directions.
Entrust

Sometimes stress seems one way, but you can entrust your feelings with someone else and sideline your stress by letting others take care of you and seek advice.

  • Let Others Take Care of You: Stress can wear down your defenses and when that happens, you can become unhealthy. When stress gets the better of you, it's time to let others take care of you. Let yourself be pampered and taken care of. By letting others take care you, stress cannot wear you out.
  • Seek Advice: Sometimes stress is so overwhelming that you may contemplate suicide. When your stress gets to the point that you feel there is no hope, it's time to seek advice. Seeking advice from a professional or even a friend can help alleviate your stress. Don't wait until it is too late, seek advice before you are lost. When you seek advice, stress cannot end your life.

Speak-up

Stress is a silent stigma that nobody wants to talk about, but you have to speak-up and sideline your stress with communication and effort.

  • Communication: Talking about your stress helps you manage your stress. Stress isn't something that needs to stay hidden inside of you. When stress builds up, you have to communicate your feelings. Tell someone how you feel or write your feelings in a journal, When you communicate how you feel, stress cannot stay bottled up inside.
  • Effort: Getting rid of stress can be overwhelming. If you keep stress buried, then you are hurting your mind, body, and soul. To rid yourself of stress, you have to make an effort to talk to someone. When you make an effort to start a conversation, stress cannot stay buried.
Stand-up

Actions always speak louder than words unless you are stressed, but you have to stand-up and sideline your stress with action and reaction.

  • Action: Stress drains all of your energy. You don't want to participate in any activities or enjoy yourself any longer. If stress is keeping you from being yourself, you have to take action. Don't just sit around and let stress win, get up and get out. When you take action and get going, stress cannot steal your energy.
  • Reaction: How do you react to stress? Most of us let stress take over our lives and we don't care. When stress takes over your life, your reaction makes or breaks you. If you react to stress in a negative way, you are letting yourself be destroyed. If you react to stress in a positive way, you are letting yourself live. When your reaction is positive, stress will not destroy your life.

Stress is going to happen, but the way you handle it will make all the difference in the way your life turns out. You have to sideline stress by simplifying your life, teaming up with others, redirecting problems, entrusting your feelings with someone else, speaking up, and standing up to stress.
