How to Find Online Jobs
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
Are you interested in finding an online job? If so, you have come to the right place. This article will help you navigate through the often confusing waters of online jobs. So, what exactly is an online job? Well, it is a job that you perform online. In other words, it is usually a “work-at-home” job, or a telecommuting job. Examples of online jobs include freelance writing, teaching, researching, and data entry. With an online job, you are able to perform all of your tasks online, either on a work-related platform/dashboard, or on your own computer/iPad, etc.
You do not have to leave the comfort of your home, which is a nice benefit when it is cold, snowing, or raining. However, online jobs can also be lonely, especially if you live alone or you have to work, while your children and/or partner are home. Another disadvantage of online jobs is that you may or may not receive benefits (depending on your employer), which can be financially stressful on a family. Furthermore, you never really leave work. Why? Well, because your work station is in your home, which means you may work longer then you are supposed to or fret over issues that happened “at work” that day.
Online jobs are fantastic for people who do not crave social stimulation (i.e. introverts). It is also good if you need or want to work but can’t because of a disability or illness. When you work at home, you also spend less money on gas. You are also more accessible, if your spouse or children need you. Truth-be-told, not everyone is cut out for online jobs, but if you are, then, there is a booming market for you. So, let’s get started on your online search!
Job Search Websites:
This website provides you with a variety of online job opportunities. It allows you to put in your desired information, and it provides you with a list of available positions that fit your criteria. Moreover, you are provided with job details and contact information—for FREE!
This website is similar to the previous one in that it allows you to search for online jobs around the country. All you have to do is put in a job title, company, keyword, and your zip code. It resembles Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com. It just has more online jobs opportunities.
Internet Job Store
This website provides you with approximately 70,000 internet/online jobs in your desired areas.
This website provides you with over 200,000 online jobs. It also has the ability to narrow your search, if you so desire. Just put in your job skills, job title, or company, along with where you are looking to obtain employment, and voila—a whole list of opportunities!
Online Jobs Options:
Welcome to the new era, when blogging (writing random or specific short articles) is normal. In the last few years, blogging has become a legit career for freelance writers. Although some bloggers post their articles (blogs) on personal websites and allow others to read them for free, others turn their blogs into paid writing jobs (i.e. company blogs on products or specialized topics). You can place your blog on your Facebook, Twitter, or even Instagram profiles. In fact, blogging/web writing came in 9th on the Yahoo! Finances top online jobs list.
Another profitable online job is medical transcription. It is a healthcare job that involves working with medical professionals. Job tasks include dictating notes, filing claims and other documents, and understanding medical terminology. To be a medical transcriptionist, you will need to receive training and become certified in the field.
Another really good online job is a writer/editor. As a writer, you can pin both hardback and online books. You can also make your own hours and select projects that best fit your schedule and expertise. You can make good money with this online job, especially if you have a niche or specialty.
Online Teacher or Professor
As an online teacher or professor, you will teach students in an online format. In other words, you will teach students online through video chats, conference calls, and/or online course rooms. You will post your syllabus online, and students will read online books, and post answers to questions online. They will also complete online tests and exams. Basically, everything is done online, from submitting homework/coursework to taking tests/exams and receiving grades.
You may simply decide to opt for a general internet search for online jobs, work-at-home jobs, telecommuting job, freelance writing or graphic design jobs, and/or internet jobs. Best wishes!
