Everybody talks about spiritual principles such as mindfulness, the law of attraction, and even the most widely known Karma. The Law of Attraction is the most popular, next to mindfulness, but is the least applied. This article will examine why so many don’t pursue personal growth in ways that will enable them to experience the law of attraction more.

Does It Work?

The basic principle of the law of attraction is that you can manifest things into your life. Is this true? For that matter, since the Holy Bible is the #1 bestseller, does it even support this? There are even verses in the ancient religious texts that do support it though not in so many words. Keep in mind there are other words that a religious person may hear in church that are not necessarily found in the Bible either. This has more to do with words changing the meaning, and spelling, every time a translation is reprinted. On that note if you really want to understand what the writer of texts like the Bible were trying to say then you have to do some research on the original language.

From The Bible to Pharmaceuticals

Whether a biblical concept or not, the law of attraction for the most part has to be experienced in order to believe in. Take the fact that it is quite obvious that humanity is naturally inclined toward negativity. Then go a step further and see that negative thought patterns are the root of mental illnesses. From there we see that pharmaceutical sales is a billion dollar industry, all the commercials for psychotropic drugs, and the fact that the news is constantly focusing on the negative in the world. If you want to read positive material then you have to actually go out of your way to look for it. Fortunately this is possible with social media and the Internet.

Shaping Your Thoughts

If you know anything about Psychology there is a personal growth procedure that is known as Cognitive Behavior Therapy. This literally involves changing the way your brain thinks so that it focuses on the positive. By practicing positive affirmations you strengthen your cortex which is a strenuous mental workout. Like all exercises the more you do it the stronger it gets. Over time you become resilient to life’s difficulties. Consequently you become more empowered to live a fuller and richer life, though not necessarily monetarily but that is still a possibility.

Change What You Create

While you are achieving personal growth in this area you will no doubt begin to experience what is known as the law of attraction. As your change your thoughts to something positive it is not uncommon to notice all the negative disappear from your life. This usually takes place in the form of negative relationships. You know the type that is always doom and gloom about everything. They get used to being this way as they have done it all their life. It becomes second nature to them.  People like this may have only been attracted to you while you were doom and gloom yourself. But something happens when you start to change the way you think; they either follow you or get out of your life as fast as possible.

Create Positive Realities

In place of the negative people that “deserted” you, you end up attracting more positive people. Even if some of them are a little down on themselves, they are still looking for hope and are less likely to run from someone who they see successful at being an overcomer through much personal growth.  It works the same way with making a living as you have more energy to carry out your daily activities. When you go to apply for a job a potential client or employer can see the passion. Along with the passion comes work ethic which in the vast majority of cases will win you more jobs or one good one. Keep in mind as enslaving as long hours at the office can be, it is less enslaving if you have a job you enjoy.

Like the old saying says, do what you love and the money will follow.  In order to find what you love you have to take the steps toward  personal growth and get to know yourself before you can experience the law of attraction in your life.
