Don’t Wait - The Perfect Time is Now!
Waiting for the right time, there really is no such thing. There are so many times in life when people sit around waiting to get started on doing something because they are waiting for the right time. The problem is that there really is never a right time to do things. There are many things that will take place in your life that are out of your control that may throw your plan for a loop. You can’t predict everything what will happen which means that you can’t guarantee that the time that you are planning to do something will be the right time to do it. I have spent so many years of my life just sitting around waiting for the right time to come. This caused many experiences that I could have been a part of just pass by. This also caused many of my goals to slip my through my fingers and many of my dreams in life to pass me by. I finally realized that waiting on time to be right is like waiting on happiness from another person. It just wasn’t possible. I researched and researched, looking for when and how to do things. One day I woke up and came to this conclusion: the perfect time is now. If I didn’t want to lose the rest of my life to waiting then I would have to take action today, right now and that is what I have been doing for the past month. Just in the past month alone I have accomplished more than I have in the last few years in regards to personal goals. Now, you can learn how to do so in your life as well.
What are the steps to taking action now instead of waiting?
The perfect time for you to do what you want is right now. If you are anything like me then you have waited and waited for the right time to come to you so that you could accomplish the things that you wanted in life: having a baby, getting a great job, reaching your personal goals, getting in shape and more. However, the problem is that you aren’t going to have a right time. Things happen and life and waiting around just loses precious time. There are some steps that you can take so that you can achieve the dreams and goals that you have in life without wasting any more time.
Make a list of the things that you want in your life (goals, dreams, etc.). Before you make this list remember that these are things that you want in your life, not what others want for you. Some of the things that were on my list included having another baby, improving my marriage, auditioning for American Idol (this was the last year I have the chance too) and many others. I realized that in order to make these goals and dreams reality in my life I had to take action now.
After you have made your list pick the most important one to you at that time. While all of my goals and dreams were important I knew that I only had a short window before the auditioning for American Idol would end. I have told myself since Season 1 (this is Season 15, the last season) that I would audition for the show someday. I have been slacking for years, telling myself I wasn’t good enough or that it wasn’t the right time in my life. I sent in my audition video 3 weeks ago and I feel great. I do not know if I am accepted or not but it feels good just knowing I achieved my dream. You can work on more than one goal and dream at a time. The important thing is for each goal or dream to make a list of how you can achieve that starting now. Make your first step or work towards that first step today.
The perfect time really is right now. It really does feel so liberating knowing that the perfect time is right now. It feels great knowing that life can and will change at any moment. I will cause some of those changes but others I have no control over and that is alright. I no longer have to sit around waiting for life to pass me by searching for a time that will never be right. I have found the perfect time for anything that I want to do, so can you and that time is right now.
