Climbing the Ladder of Human Consciousness
Everybody seems to want to “climb the ladder of success” these days. However there is nothing worse than having successfully spent an entire lifetime climbing a ladder only to discover that it is leaning against the wrong foundation when you finally arrive at your destination. This article will look at the futility of climbing the corporate ladder because it leaves one unsatisfied in the long run, and focus more on climbing the ladder of human consciousness; this will focus more on how to escape the trap of the mind and allowing ourselves to become too anxious and depressed.
The human consciousness scale goes all the way from 0 up to 1000. Once you arrive at a consciousness level of 1000, it is safe to say that you have arrived at a god-like state, and the only two who are said to have reached level of consciousness of 1000 are Jesus Christ and Buddha. From the perspective of Christianity, this shows the difference between the two trees that are depicted in the Book of Genesis in the Garden of Eden. I think that the Buddha represents the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil which keeps an individual primarily focused on themselves. Jesus, as the promised Messiah of the Old Testament, represents the Tree of Life where you can allow God to live His life through you via the Holy Spirit. For those with a Christian worldview this is a more abundant life because you are empowered by something greater than yourself as opposed to living out of your own limited human resources.

The 7 Deadly Sins
The low end of the consciousness spectrum is where you will find most of the seven deadly sins that control most people; up to a level of 200. Those who are controlled by mental health issues such as anger, psychosis, mania/bipolar, anxiety, and depression, usually fall into this area. That is until they learn how to control their emotions and face their fears through various therapies.
Once you work through your mental health issues you will not doubt feel a sense of empowerment. This will enable you to move up to the 200-400 level of consciousness. This is the average level of consciousness for humans who do not struggle with mental illness and who have not reached the level of a genius either. Once you conquer your mental health issues you usually will become more ambitious for life and making something of yourself. Probably only an estimated 20% reach beyond the average level of consciousness and reach the 500-600 range. These are usually the leaders in society, or the entrepreneurs. They have reached a level of consciousness where they are ambitious enough to not want to be trapped in a 9-5 job and will do whatever it takes to not live an average, settled down life. Because so few reach this level, people who do reach it may very well end up being alone most of their lives because the vast majority will not know how to relate to them. Those in this this range usually make up for the isolation by throwing themselves into their work and focus on making a difference in the world in more subtle ways.
The Highest Levels
Since only a truly god-like individual can actually reach 1000, the closest any human ever gets is about 900. It is a close estimation that only 1% of society ever enters the range of consciousness that is between 600-900%. It is quite possible that once you hit this range you may give up your ambition for a more devout life; like that of a Mother Teresa, Gandhi, or any other wise spiritual teacher who gave up all of their worldly possessions to focus on loving and serving others. This is the level of a more willing self-sacrifice and unconditional love toward others. Those in this range will no doubt experience the benefits for all of eternity.
When comparing the ladder of consciousness to climbing the material ladder of success that focuses on earthly things, it is easy to see the the latter ladder is very unfulfilling,. This is because you can never truly be satisfied with it as they flesh always wants more. With the ladder of consciousness, the higher you climb the more you satisfy yourself in the spiritual realm. This is more important because we are more than just flesh and blood. It is a spiritual world. Very few will get this far due to the attraction love of the material things that are found in the world though. Even if you make it to the average range, where half the population are, you can still live a pretty good life that is free from psychological issues like depression and anxiety.
