Binaural Beats & Religion?

Are Binaural Beats compatible with your religion?  Whether your religion is Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, or many others, the first question that you must ask yourself is:  What are binaural beats?

Binaural Beats are, fundamentally, nothing more than an auditory phenomenon that results from listening to two separate sound waves of slightly varying frequency.  Therefore, there is nothing theologically opposed to simply listening to and perceiving auditory effects, but the true underlying question is:  Are you worshiping and praising those auditory effects in a manner that is inconsistent with the theological framework of your religion?

Do you praise Binaural Beats as the solution to all of your problems, when your religious tradition suggests that you instead direct your praise to the Creator of the Universe?

Do you believe that Binaural Beats will bring you enlightenment when your religious tradition instead points to your Inner Wisdom as the path to your Liberation?

These are the fundamental questions with which most individuals must concern themselves, but Binaural Beats are not fundamentally contraindicated for any particular religious tradition.  Indeed, some religious traditions, which reject the use of electricity, may choose to avoid Binaural Beats through their computer and iPod, but there is no contraindication against using two Tuning Forks to produce a Binaural Beat as a means to relax the central nervous system.

Therefore, Binaural Beats are indeed compatible with most religions, because they are, in and of themselves, simply auditory effects which induce central nervous system relaxation or excitation.

The theological orientation to Binaural Beats is something that each individual must address on their own, through their own traditions.
