And as a final comment, what I would say is that the goal for me and the goal for probably many of my colleagues is really to find out, what are the rules of our nervous system? So this is a strange way of putting it. We're trying to figure out the manual of how we can live good lives. And I think that's what therapy is about, it's about reeducating people to understand the rules of their nervous system. And Polyvagal Theory articulates some of the very basic rules that are relayed to being safe with others, being connected with others, and how the modulation and the support of mental health is the same thing as the support of physical health.
