Thank you for joining us at AngelGuard.org – Providing United States based Not for Profit Medical Coordination billing services for veterans in need. There are many people who experience Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and military veterans are among the most impacted by this condition. Therefore, we work to ensure that effective medical billing coordination services are available to those who request assistance. This does not limit us to serving veterans, so we work to provide comparable services to Civilians in need. There are many reasons why a person would require PTSD treatment, which includes exposure to combat, assault, or sexual exploitation. Through working to ensure that all members of every patient population are provided with comparable services, we work to eradicate PTSD.

According to the National Institutes of Mental Health, suicide is a leading cause of death.

"Suicide was the tenth leading cause of death overall in the United States, claiming the lives of over 47,500 people.

Suicide was the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34, and the fourth leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 35 and 44.

There were nearly two and a half times as many suicides (47,511) in the United States as there were homicides (19,141)"

According to the Centers for Disease Control, suicide rates increased by 30% between 2000 – 2018, and they declined briefly between 2019 – 2020. Meanwhile, according to the available data, 12.2 million adults have contemplated suicide, with 1.2 million attempts. This is the 2nd leading cause of death for those age 10 – 14 and aged 25 – 34. The 46,000 deaths by suicide in the year 2020 may be calculated as approximately 1 death every 11 min.

The CDC suggests reviewing their PDF, “Suicide: A Technical Package of Policy, Programs, and Practices”, which is available online.
